Paige and Jacques met at a Bible school in Friedrichshafen, Germany in September of 2009. They started dating shortly after that, and were engaged on March 20, 2010.
Three short months later they were married at the Gale Mansion in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Describe the proposal. Jacques proposed on the shore of Lake Konstanz, Germany at 4am. We went down there to spend some time together before I left to catch my flight back to the states. He sang to me and then got down on one knee, and the rest is history!
My wedding dress was ivory silk, with a Victorian feel to the style. I found it at a consignment shoppe, the first place I looked, and it didn’t take long to realize that it was The Dress. I felt like a queen in it.
We wanted the design simple and elegant. Actually, that was the idea behind everything in the wedding. We also wanted it to be easy since I only had 3 ½ months to plan our wedding.
My favorite design element was the colours. I passionately love the colour green, and was very pleased with how we were able to incorporate it into the wedding.
We loved everything about the wedding and it seemed that all the details simply fell together effortlessly. But more than the details, the favourite part of our day was having so many special people share it with us.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? I’d have to say the kiss during the ceremony. We saved our first kiss for that moment, and I’m glad we did; it was very special and well worth the wait!
