From the bride, Tonya: The first time I remember Nick, I was following him around Douglas High as a sophomore in Speech and Debate, wishing I was as hilarious as this kid was. The second time when I recognized him, one year later, I stood by the willows in the grass at the cross country meet in Glenrock and cheered for Nick-my-teammate as he ran down the second-to-last hill. Finally, another year later, I was formally introduced to Nick at the western-most table in University of Wyoming’s Washakie cafeteria during dinner, over talk of starting up a frisbee group. The sun was setting.
Three days later, he called me about going downtown to search for a frisbee. I declined. Weeks later when it became known that Nick was looking for a running buddy, somehow I got the courage to march up to his dorm room on the 11th floor of White Hall, my heart pounding because I’m shy, and set up a running schedule. Nick made me feel right-away at home, because he of course, is not shy. The next morning at 6:20 am, I heard a knock on my door on the 2nd floor of White Hall. I slipped on my tennis shoes in the dark and met him in the hallway–the rest is history!

So awesome to see this featured up here. We had an amazing wedding day, and the only bad thing that I can remember was I didn’t get enough time to enjoy all of the awesomeness my beautiful bride had planned for that day!
The photos don’t give justice to this amazing wedding…right down to the small details, Tonya was put an incredible amount of energy and time into planning this wedding. It was an occasion I will remember and cherish for many years!
