Bachelorette Party: The Summer Guide

There is nothing more beautiful than a summer wedding. It is no wonder we have so many bachelorette parties lined up in this season. Although the big day is definitely the most important event for the bride and the groom, the bachelorette is the ultimate bonding and having fun day for the bride and her friends. That is why it is important to plan everything just right. Luckily, throwing a bridal party has become more of a creative endeavor than an organizational challenge and there are so many ways to add a little extra pizzazz to a summer bachelorette.

It Is All about the Bride

Yes, the wedding day is her day, but the bachelorette is also her day. When choosing a theme, venue, dress code, etc. you should consider her interests. Also, do not forget to ask her to write the guest list, so she could choose the persons she feels comfortable with. You do not want her to be surrounded with people she does not want there. It is traditional for the guests to cover all the party costs, including the food, drinks, transportation, etc.

Step Outside

Get the most of the lovely summer weather and do not remain under the roof of a club or a hotel. Luckily, there are plenty of options for an outside party. Here are a few.

  • A pool luau is an ideal way to spend some fun times with your about-to-be-married friend. Get flower crowns for everyone, play some Latin music, hire a bartender to make summer loving cocktails and your bride-to-be will be thrilled.
  • Get to the beach! Should we actually explain why this is a great idea?
  • For nature enthusiasts, however, a campout might be even a better choice. If, you however lack the time, money and nearby camping space, you can set up a few tents in your backyard, make fondant, ice cream and some other treats and have one last kumbaya under the stars with your girls.
  • Other outdoor themes could be a backyard movie night, tea party, etc.

Leave Your Comfort Zone

Make the bachelorette an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

  • Girlfriends’ road trip is a fun way to spend time together and, why not, conquer the world.
  • Travel somewhere nice together, preferably somewhere where the bride always wanted to go. It can be an exotic resort, a wine tasting tour, etc.
  • If the bride-to-be is up for it, you can even try some adrenaline sports.
  • Try out bridal paintball. It can be a perfect stress relief and a lasting memory.
  • Have glamour shots party.

Dress for the Party

Of course, your outfits will depend on the theme, venue, etc. For a beach/pool party you will need to find trendy womens swimwear and lightweight cover-ups. For a cocktail/tea party some summer-lovin’ colorful dresses will be great. For camping, you can opt for some classic athleisure outfits, etc. The most important thing about outfits for a bridal party is, however, personalization. Show the world who is the bride, who is the maid of honor, sister, bridesmaids, etc. with some lovely personalized tanks, floppy hats, beach bags, cute badges, etc.

A Little Special Something…

It is tradition for the guests to give the bride-to-be some tokens of attention. Remember, it does not have to be something big and expensive, since the party itself and personalized items are already presents. The gifts should have sentimental value, rather than material. You can, for instance, make a box of memories, where everyone will write down how they met her and why they love her, or some photos together. If you want something a bit more practical, aim for the items she will use in her new life (decorative elements for the house, sexy underwear, etc.).

One final thing: have fun! It is after all the whole point of the bachelorette.
