Firstly, congratulations! Marriage is a massive life achievement and shouldn’t be overshadowed by all the stress that comes from wedding planning. Be sure to truly enjoy your engagement before getting down to the hard work! With that said, though, there is a lot to be done. So, what better place to start than with this blog post? Here’s everything you’ll need to sort out before your big day! (You’re welcome…)
Venue
This is arguably the most important aspect, particularly for most brides! The venue is the central focus of your wedding. This is where all the wedding shots of you in your gorgeous dress (more on that later) are going to be taken. So, basically, it needs to be super pretty, but also within budget. You and your partner will need to organize a strict budget and stick to it. Don’t go looking at venues that are out of your price range and falling in love with them – that won’t end well! Once you’ve settled on somewhere, booked and reserved it, then you can move forward!
After Party
The big wedding party following the ceremony is what everybody looks forward to about a wedding. All of your friends and family will be super excited for this, so it’s important that you deliver! Again, a great venue is key to enthralling evening. So, be sure to do an extensive hunt for the best places you can find. Once it’s booked up, be sure to hire a band, sort out the food and decide whether or not you’re going to have that elusive open bar. Your call (you know your relatives!)
Guests
This point can often cause friction between couples, so it’s important to iron this out early on. Set a strict number on the amount of guests you’re going to invite and then get to work. You may decide to exclude children from the event, but be wary many parents could find this offensive. Be careful with your decisions! Everybody that you want to keep in your life once you’re married should be there. So you’re maybe best avoiding long-lost exes and sticking to true friends and close family.
Dress
Next up, you’re going to need to go dress shopping. How exciting! It’s worth noting before you even set foot out the door that dresses are super expensive now, though. So take your credit card with you! That said, it’s important to find the perfect one because it’s going to be that one outfit you always look back on – no matter how long it’s been! Get it right, and you’ll feel amazing on your wedding day.
Rings
Finally, you’ll need to sort out the rings – the item that is going to represent the spiritual bond between the two of you. A company such as Enso Rings is a favorite of mine, they offer unique and practical wedding rings that will ensure you can continue to live your active lifestyle and still proudly show your commitment. Why not take a look? It’s important to find the right set of rings. After all, you’ll be wearing them for the rest of your lives!
Hopefully, this post will help you plan your big day. However, I must stress, it’s important to enjoy your engagement before getting down to business. So, be sure to throw a big party for that first!
