The late summer is a beautiful and rather warm time; bees are starting to swarm drunkenly around, not quite as coordinated as they used to be, and we’re sitting outside in the evenings to enjoy as much as possible of the summer that’s left. Although we’re going to miss the season with all of its colors and fragrances, we’re in for a treat in a short month or two when nature seems to explode into colors of red and orange.

Mind the nature
There is little doubt that you’ve picked the most magical time of the year to get married. While you both love to look of nature at this time of the year, you should keep in mind that beauty can also be dangerous. We’re talking about wet and slippery leaves, of course, and how you don’t want to slide down the aisle.
Run a safety check before the guests arrive – especially if it’s a slippery surface underneath. You don’t want your old aunt to break her hip on your big day, after all, do you? Think about the wind situation as well, particularly with regards to flower decorations; ask your florist, for example, to ensure that everything decorative doesn’t go flying off with the wind.
You’ll be celebrating your love in beauty and style but it might also be in wind and gushes of rain. Remember to mind the elements, and you’ll be perfectly fine.
Remember the big events
You’re going to have a lot on your mind before the wedding, that’s for sure, and you’re probably in deep already with looking at mens’ wedding band styles, finger food, and flower symbolism. Take a moment to remember what’s going on the real world, though. You remember last year and the year after that when you were not planning to get married, so you gathered in front the television instead to watch the game? People who are not getting married are still doing that.
Reality might come and bite you solidly if you schedule your big day around a big event – and you don’t want half of your guests to be glued to the television rather than on the dance floor.
It’s enough to make any bride pull the plug on the old box and enough for any father-in-law to wonder what he did wrong when he turned on the game. If you’re a big fan of baseball and maybe even went to a match on your first date, you could easily schedule it around a team’s schedule on purpose, by all means – it would even make a great theme for your wedding. Just make sure you know about the game first to avoid any surprises.
