Weddings are a chance to be extravagant but in a romantic way. Traditionally weddings are supposed to be about the bridge and mimicking the fairytale stories that we grew up listening to and reading. Of course you want to be adored by all your guests but you don’t really want to shove yourself in their faces. Subtle and being humble while also looking fabulously quaint is the balance we strive for. But there’s one moment and one moment only, during the entire proceedings of the day where you can look cool. How you turn up to your venue be it a cathedral or beach resort, it’s going to be remembered forever. It’s the first time people get to see you in your dress and the manner in which the sound and style of your arrival are met will determine the mood for the rest of the day. So which is it, a white steed or a raging stallion?

Glorious horses
White horses have been used for weddings for a long time. Not only are they symbols of virtue for the bride but they are featured in heroic stories such as St. George slaying the dragon. Noble and charming, these steeds are rarer than most other types of horses. Many different cultures use white horses for wedding precessions from Asia to Europe. If the bride is to arrive on a white horse, she must adopt a riding style that is complementary to her such as riding side saddle. If you intend to be seated in a carriage being pulled by the pale steed, then the carriage itself is recommended to be in a Dulux white also. You should learn about the true costs of renting a white steed for the day as watering, food and possible excrement clear up is going to be needed. The weather matters too as a blisteringly hot day is not going to be good for the horse’s body temperature. It’s also important to become familiar with the horse so it doesn’t freak out on the day and cause you to fall off him; so make the decision early!

Hundreds of horses
A gallant white steed is a very fine choice but what if you could have hundreds of horses deliver you to your venue? A classic muscle car for wedding car hire provides you with that rumble and burble of a roaring V8 with lots of horsepower and torque. It’s so American and vintage, and there’s simply no doubt that everyone will be paying attention to you when you arrive. The sleek designs of the 60s and 70s muscle cars are unmistakable from a distance and all angles. These cars are kept in pristine conditions both inside and out. Polished and buffed they look brand spanking new. The interior is kept original and cared for so it remains comfortable and true to the period. The slow tick over of the supercharged V8 engines is as cool as it gets for street cars.
Turning up to your wedding in one of these iconic muscle cars with a few hundred horses underneath the hood, is a spectacle that could be yours. On the other hand if you want something closer to a childhood fairytale, a white steed will please you just fine.
