Describe the proposal.
He proposed at the top of the Empire State Building. It happened to be during a hurricane, so it was raining sideways up there, but we were practically alone other than the staff. It was very fun and romantic.
We went with a lot of seasonal flowers since we both love the fall. I carried a bouquet of circus roses with the locket he gave me when we were first dating tied around it. Sunflowers, gerbera daisies and spider mums in bold autumn colors added a great touch to the ceremony in the vineyard and the reception tables.
We loved the colors we picked. It was a perfect, sunny autumn day and all of the red, orange, yellow and brown really fit the day well and looked beautiful with the already gorgeous vineyard and winery.
The ceremony was the most memorable moment of the day. I walked out of the vineyard down a staircase, and I could see all of my friends and family below looking up at me, my father waiting for me at the bottom of the staircase, and the man I was about to marry standing by the vineyard.
I knew I was loved and supported by everyone there. It was a really stunning image and I will never forget how I felt.
We loved how the pots of sunflowers looked for the ceremony. They were a last minute addition, but ended up being a great compliment to the vineyard.
My wedding dress was one of the first dresses I tried on and I fell in love with it. It was hard to convince myself to try on a few more to be sure!
The cake was red velvet with cream cheese filling and butter cream frosting. It was delicious and that was the most important part! It was simple, decorated with fresh flowers.
