I’ve been preaching it over and over and over again. So, here it is 6 Reasons To Do A First Look!
1. Less stress and anxiety over the ceremony. You will have had the chance to see each other and will not be as nervous for that walk down the aisle.
2. You get to enjoy your entire cocktail hour with your guests as opposed to missing it for pictures.
3. Its easier on the catering staff. Your chicken will be served hot and juicy and salads will be cold and crisp.
4. Your photos will be better because your photographer will have more time and will be less worried/stressed about falling behind on your time line.
5. Since you will only be with your photographer during the first look you can be yourselves and enjoy the moment instead of being nervous about having all of your guests see your reactions.
6. You will have the opportunity for sunset photos! 🙂
These are just a few reasons to do a first look, I honestly could think of a hundred more. Just make sure keep in mind to plan enough time before the ceremony.
Start communicating with your photographer and wedding planner to make sure everyone will be happy. There’s nothing worse then doing the first look and giving your photographer 10 minutes to do your photos.

TGIF! 🙂
What do you mean by a first look? I’m confused!
It’s when you decide to see each other before your ceremony. Your photographer will be able to go into greater detail about their expectations and how they prefer to do a first look or reveal ( which it’s also called sometimes).
Beautiful photos. Great ideas. The benefits seem to be huge if you are willing to trade in the big aha moment…
Do you know who designed her dress?
Its a Sue Wong dress! 🙂
