You want to do something new, something different, and something creative. But what’s left to do? It seems as though everything has already been done. But, I got something new for you: a bachelorette and bachelor party mix!
Now don’t freak out, it’s not scary! With these ideas I have for you, you’ll realize how great of an idea this is, and can consider implementing it into your own pre-wedding parties. It’s simple, fun, and gets the whole bridal party together.
Pick a Location
Set a perfect meeting ground for your bridal party. This could be a restaurant, a friend’s house, or the hotel you’re staying at (if it’s a destination party). The main idea here is to get everyone together and to loosen up. Chat, and enjoy each other’s company first before the rest of the night begins! It’s hard to get this time in together when you are all busy planning a wedding. This is a perfect time to unwind, and hang out with your friends.
Set a Theme
With a mixed bachelor/bachelorette party, it’s essential to create a theme. A great bridal shower theme could be something as simple as a scavenger hunt! This gets your bachelor’s on one team and your bachelorette’s on another team. Here are some hilarious and quick ideas to include in your scavenger hunt:
- The Bride and Groom takes a picture with a bartender and takes a shot
- Find a wedding ring shop
- Do a choreographed dance in the middle of a public area
- In each bar you go in, have the bride or groom announce their wedding date, and see how many drinks they get!
The ideas are endless, and can make for a pretty fun night. This will get each bridal team excited and having the best time! At the end of the scavenger hunt, meet up at a local bar and share the pictures and adventures!
Make a Gift
Nothing will bring a bridal party together like creating shirts! Create a funny and unique custom shirt for each member of your bridal party to wear during your outing. Some great ideas include:
- Writing the last name of each bridal party member on the back of their shirt, with the date of your wedding
- We’re the bridal party of Mr. and Mrs. [last name] and are here to party!
- Help our friends, they’re getting married!
There are tons of great ideas to include when creating a shirt! Get creative, and have fun with it! These are memories that will last a lifetime.
The Day After
After partying (and maybe getting a little too crazy) a great idea to get both sides together is doing something relaxing the next day. Go to the pool together, play golf, hit up the ocean and have a picnic lunch. Maybe even go to a wine tasting, or hit up a movie at the movie theatre you guys have all been dying to see!
The thing to remember when planning this party is to not set yourself up with high expectations. Go in knowing that you are going to have a great night, and that your best friends and your future hubby are at your side! What more could you need? Making it simple, making it unique, will get you guys having one of the best nights.
Have fun!
