We met playing Minneapolis Park and Rec co-ed kickball. I was playing 1st base, and Jeff was playing 2nd base. Katherine thought that Jeff was so kind, cute, handsome, and wonderful to be around. Jeff thought that Katherine had fun energy, was pretty, and kind. Jeff asked Katherine out for their first date in a very sweet email. Our first date was to Lyndale Tap House, since it was safe to go somewhere to have a drink where you could stay for food if the date was going well. The date was going great, so we stayed for food. Our second date was to Broder’s Pasta Bar. We shared a piece of delicious flourless chocolate cake for dessert, yummy. Our 3rd date was to see a Cohen Brothers movie.
Jeff proposed up at Deer Lake where Katherine’s family’s cabin is. It is Katherine’s favorite spot, and he proposed out on the pontoon at sunset. It was perfect. We were on our way to a good friend’s house for dinner, so celebrated with a group of friends upon arrival.
