When you’re planning your big day, it seems that there’s a never-ending list of things to do and potential issues to take care of. It can be nearly impossible to feel confident that you thought of everything. While you’re unlikely to overlook the dress or the cake, here are some wedding preparations that may not be as present in your mind.

Take Care of Bunions or Other Foot Issues

When you’re walking down the aisle, you want to be thinking about the person you love and are going to spend your life with. What you don’t want is to be worrying about the pain and discomfort caused by bunions.

Bunion pain might affect the kind of shoes you can wear to your wedding, but it might also be bad enough to distract you from the experience of being married. Thankfully, there are a couple of types of bunion surgery to choose from, including a minimally-invasive procedure with little recovery time. Make sure to take care of your bunions before your big day so foot pain won’t get in the way.

Consider Guests’ Dietary Restrictions

The last thing you want is to send out the RSVP asking guests whether they want chicken or fish, only to find out that most of them are vegetarians. You also don’t want to learn that somebody has a severe allergy to the shellfish that are served with the pasta at the wedding.

You probably can’t take every single dietary consideration into your wedding preparations, but it is worth getting an idea of who will be at the wedding and whether they are likely to want special types of food. A good rule of thumb is to always offer good vegetarian entrees as well as more traditional animal protein-based meals.

Hire a Great Candid Photographer

Few people planning their wedding overlook a wedding photographer. However, many couples don’t think to hire a candid photographer.

Sometimes, one photographer will be able to do both the formal photographs and the candid shots. Other times, you may want someone different for each role. Either way, candid shots are often a favorite part of wedding memories, so don’t overlook this job.

Prepare For a Day You’ll Remember Forever

You’ll surely never forget your wedding, so make sure you include in your preparations everything that could affect this special day. Don’t let painful feet or guests’ dietary restrictions stand in the way of a beautiful day and a great time. Make sure to hire a candid photographer so you’ll remember every detail.
